What is the national costumes of Nauru?

The national costumes of Nauru were selected in 1992 following a "Nauruan dress day". The national dress is:

- For women: a knee length dress with a pattern printed on it, called a muumuu, which is worn over a petticoat.

- For men: a striped sulu shirt, which is a light wrap-around skirt with a slit up one side, worn without underwear, paired with a tiputa a short skirt made from a thick strip of leaves.
