Where is mt arrat?
Mt. Ararat is located in eastern
Turkey, near the border with
Armenia and
Iran. It is the highest mountain in Turkey and the highest peak in the Armenian Highlands. The mountain has two main summits, Greater Ararat (Büyük Ağrı) and Lesser Ararat (Küçük Ağrı), with elevations of 5,137 meters (16,854 ft) and 3,896 meters (12,782 ft), respectively. Mt. Ararat is a dormant volcanic mountain and is considered a sacred mountain in Armenian culture and Christianity, as it is traditionally believed to be the landing site of Noah's Ark after the Great Flood.
