Which State Is Bigger: Alabama or Colorado? Colorado.

Colorado is significantly larger than Alabama.

Colorado is ~1.98× the size of Alabama—nearly double.

For context: Colorado is the 8th largest U.S. state; Alabama ranks 30th. Colorado's dimensions (~380 mi E–W × 280 mi N–S) reflect its rectangular survey-grid shape; Alabama is more irregular (coastal plain, Appalachian foothills).
