The average temperature in January is −2.5 °C (27.5 °F), while in July it is 20.0 °C (68.0 °F). The annual precipitation is 750 millimetres (30 in). The upper part of the mountain has an alpine climate characterized by colder temperatures, higher precipitation, and a shorter growing season.
