Distance: Central Park West to 5th Avenue at 81st St? No Such Address

Central Park’s boundaries are:

• West: Central Park West (8th Ave) – runs 59th St to 110th St.
• East: 5th Avenue – runs 59th St to 110th St.
• South: Central Park South (59th St).
• North: Central Park North (110th St).

There is no “81st Street” address on Central Park West—the cross‑streets are numbered 59th through 110th. The distance across the park at 81st Street (between CPW and 5th Ave) is about 0.5 miles (800 m), but the premise of an 81st St address on CPW is incorrect.
