How to Eat at Seattle's Space Needle

The beautiful skyline of Seattle, Washington is unmistakable with one infamous landmark standing out that symbolizes the city's unique spirit and attitude--Seattle's Space Needle. From atop the Space Needle, view the city's cool neighborhoods, Puget Sound and other landmarks; see striking mountain ranges as well as Mt. Rainier. Even when it rains, Seattle is magnificent, and dining on top of the Space Needle is one experience you'll never forget.

      Make reservations ahead of time if you want to dine atop the Space Needle, especially during busy times like holidays and spring or summer break. Call "Sky City" restaurant at (206) 905-2100 or (800) 937-9582 to make reservations.

      Request your reservation online by visiting the "Space Needle" website. Fill out the online reservation form and provide your contact information.

      Know that you will pay for parking if you drive to the Space Needle. You might find free parking on far flung side streets, but it's safer and easier to pay and park close by. Find parking lots a few blocks away that charge less.

      Note that public transportation in Seattle is good--just know where you're going. Obtain a map of the city as well as a bus/tram/monorail map. Take the Seattle Center Monorail to the Space Needle if you're staying in a hotel downtown.

      Take an elevator up to the restaurant on top of the Space Needle. Some people will purchase tickets to ride up to the Observation Deck only, and other people will ride up to the restaurant who have reservations. As a restaurant patron, you automatically have access to the Observation Deck.

      Enjoy fine dining and a magnificent 360-degree view as you rotate above Seattle via the Sky City restaurant. Order from a menu offering everything from a Kobe beef appetizer to a variety of fresh seafood entrées. Know that prices are fairly typical of a fine dining restaurant. Order a Washington wine or Starbucks coffee for a local drink to compliment your meal.
