How to Shop Seattle Outlets

Seattle is known for lovely Puget Sound, the Pike Street Market and abundant seafood and produce, but most aren't aware the city and surrounding area are home to a number of excellent outlet shopping centers too. Bargain hunters will find everything from housewares to jewelry to children's clothing and more at Seattle's collection of outlet malls.

      Shop Seattle Premium Outlets. This outlet complex, located about 30 minutes north of Seattle, is home to over 100 outlet stores. Among them are Coach, Izod, J. Crew, Ellen Tracy and Chico's. There's also a Starbucks and a food court. For those 50 or older, the shopping center offers a ten percent discount on Tuesdays.

      Visit the Supermall of the Great Northwest. Located about 25 minutes from Seattle, in Auburn, Washington, this outlet center features over five dozen discount stores. Among the favorites are Ann Taylor, Brooks Brothers, Banana Republic and Mikasa. There's also a food court, a Wal-Mart and a strip mall with discount retailers, such as Burlington Coat Factory and Marshall's.

      Stop at Centralia Outlet Stores. This collection of three dozen discount stores is located about halfway between Seattle and Portland, Oregon. Favorite stores include Claire's, London Fog, Levi's and Pfaltzgraff. There are also several food vendors, a Northwest craft showcase and a visitor's center.

      Look for bargains at Factory Stores at North Bend. Just 30 minutes east of Seattle, this shopping plaza is home to over 50 retailers. Among the most popular of these are Black & Decker, Eddie Bauer, Gap and Bass. The complex also features a coffee shop.
