Valley Forge National Historical Park is a unit of the United States National Park Service located in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. It preserves the site of George Washington's encampment during the winter of 1777–78, during the American Revolutionary War. The park is located at the intersection of U.S. Routes 23 and 422, approximately 20 miles (32 km) northwest of Philadelphia.
Valley Forge National Historical Park was established on March 4, 1976. The park encompasses 2,295 acres (930 ha) of rolling farmland and woodlands. The park's attractions include the Grand Parade, the reconstructed huts of Washington's army, the National Memorial Arch, and the Washington Memorial Chapel.
The park is open year-round, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission is free.
