The Tigris and Euphrates rivers are in Iraq, the two largest rivers in the country and cradles of early civilization. The Tigris (~1,150 miles) flows from Turkey's Taurus Mountains through Iraq to the Persian Gulf. The Euphrates (~1,700 miles) runs from Turkey's Armenian Highlands through Syria and Iraq to the Persian Gulf.
