If you're on the East Coast, visit Atlantic City, which is known for its casinos and gambling. There's much more than that on the boardwalk, however. A weekend trip to a ski resort is another idea. The East Coast and West Coast have many places where you can ski, and Colorado is also known for its ski resorts. Along with skiing, these resorts offer many other activities, including snowboarding, snowmobiling, ice fishing, snow tubing and ice skating. Certain resorts offer other activities, such as sledding or snowshoeing. Ski resorts in every location have plenty of dining choices, shopping, hotels and entertainment. Many resorts offer package deals for weekend trips.
Many areas of Canada are easily accessible from the US. Canada has a variety of points of interest, including ski resorts, national parks and Niagara Falls. From Vancouver to Quebec, outdoor activities, museums, tours and places to shop abound. Canada offers a lot of lakefront rentals among its natural wildlife and scenic landscape. If you are traveling from outside of Canada, remember to bring your passport.
