The town of DeSoto is located in Dallas County, Texas, United States. It is a suburb of the city of Dallas, located approximately 20 miles (32 kilometers) south of downtown Dallas. DeSoto is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, the fourth-largest metropolitan area in the United States.
