Cities Named Boston Around the World

Besides the famous Boston, Massachusetts, several other places bear the name Boston. These include Boston in Lincolnshire, England (known for St. Botolph's Church); Boston, New York (a town in Erie County); and Boston, Virginia (a former coal mining town in Culpeper County). The name originates from Old English, likely meaning "settlement by the river Witham."
