The Cerro de la Campana National Park lies in the heart of the city and is one of the most visible natural features in Hermosillo. The park covers a large area and is easily accessed from the city center. Walking to the top of Cerro de la Campana, and taking in the views over Hermosillo, was one of my first priorities when I arrived.
La Alameda
The large park of La Alameda is the perfect spot to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The park is just one block from the city center and is a popular spot at lunch times and the early evenings.
Plaza Zaragoza
The Plaza Zaragoza lies at the heart of Hermosillo's historic center. This lovely plaza is surrounded by buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries, including the Palacio de Gobierno, Templo Franciscano, and the Teatro de la Ciudad. The plaza itself is a lovely spot and a great place to relax.
