Did Amerigo Vespucci Discover South America?

No. South America was already inhabited for millennia. Vespucci (1499–1502 voyages) was the first to recognize and document that these lands were a separate continent, not part of Asia as Columbus believed. His published accounts led cartographer Martin Waldseemüller to name the new continent "America" in his honor (1507).
