Gather your valid passport and other travel documents such as immunization card, driver's license or government-issued identification from your state or country of residence. The fastest way to travel to Patagonian Chile is by purchasing plane tickets to Santiago, Chile, and from there, Punta Arenas.
Reserve a van or bus and drive from Punta Arenas to the Torres del Paine National Park. The national park is located about 393 kilometers away from Punta Arenas. You can travel by bus from Santiago, although bus routes from that city to the park are not as regular as they are from Punta Arenas, Puerto Natales and Puerto Montt.
Take a boat from Puerto Montt. If you are looking for an alternate way to travel to Patagonian Chile, sail from Puerto Mott to Puerto Natales, which is located about 115 kilometers from Torres del Paine National Park. Boats leave Puerto Mott at 2 p.m. Mondays and arrive in Puerto Natales at 11 a.m. Thursdays. While the trip takes a few days, it is an interesting way to take in the Chilean countryside.
