Amazon River Cruises in Peru

The Amazon River in Peru experiences two seasons. The high water season lasts from December through May, and the low water season lasts from June through November. Several Peruvian Amazon River cruises are offered in each season, all of which leave near or from Iquitos in the east of Peru. High water season will be cooler and give close-up views of birds and mammals, while low water season invites allows jungle hikes and fishing as well.

    • Amazon Voyagers offers four- or seven-day cruises, travelling both upstream and downstream from Iquitos, to Leticia / Tabatinga, Pacaya / Samiria or one of the other many destinations on the river.
