Milwaukee River Cruise Line and its Edelweiss boats offer a wide variety of cruise types. Several dinner cruises are available, as well as party cruises, historical sightseeing cruises, a beer and bratwurst cruise, and a cheese and wine cruise. The cruise line rents out its four vessels for private cruises that can be specialized depending on cruise needs. Special holiday cruises are also available from November until New Year's. In addition to river cruises, the cruise line operates the Port of Call Bistro and Beer Garden on land.

Milwaukee Boat Line offers a number of cruises along the Milwaukee River. A 90-minute sightseeing cruise highlights the lakefront area that stretches from the harbor to Lake Michigan. Food and drink are available on board. Other cruise types include parties, concerts, brunch, dinner, school outings and special events. Milwaukee Boat Line's fleet features the 150-passenger Voyager and Iroquois, the oldest passenger vessel still operating on the Great Lakes. The ships are Milwaukee's only tour vessels allowed in Lake Michigan.

Riverwalk Boat Tours and Rentals offers public and private cruises. Public cruises include daily sunset cruises that depart three times every evening. Each day features a different theme, and food and beverage specials. Sunday cruises embark midday and afternoon. Private cruise packages include dinner, buffet, lunch, brunch and bar-only options. Fireworks cruises are available throughout the summer, and corporate cruises are offered year-round. Riverwalk Boat Tours' fleet includes the Brew City Queen I and II and the Milwaukee Maiden I, which can accommodate between 30 to 46 passengers.
