How is the Sechura related to South American deserts?

The Sechura Desert in Peru is not directly related to the deserts of South America, but it shares some characteristics. The Sechura Desert is a coastal desert influenced by the cold Humboldt Current and is located on the western side of the Andes Mountains. Some South American deserts, such as the Atacama Desert in Chile and the Monte Desert in Argentina, are also coastal and influenced by cold ocean currents. However, there is considerable distance between the Sechura Desert and these other deserts, and they have their unique characteristics.
