Why did the bant people go south?

There is no historical evidence to suggest that the entire Bantu people migrated south as an ethnic group. The expansion of Bantu-speaking peoples throughout Africa occurred over several centuries and involved diverse groups moving in various directions. The reasons behind the movements were complex and unique to each group. Some factors that influenced the Bantu migrations included population growth, resource scarcity, political conflict, and opportunities for trade.
