Why didnt Hudson return to Europe after discovering bay?

Hudson did return to Europe after his 1610 voyage. He set out on a second expedition in 1611, intending to explore further north and find the Northwest Passage. He reached the eastern shores of Hudson Bay and made several attempts to find a way through the ice, but he was not able to do so. His crew became disgruntled and mutinous, and they eventually seized him and set him adrift in a small boat with his son and seven other crew members. They were never seen again.
