How many King Kamehamehas were there in Hawaii?

There were four rulers of the Kingdom of Hawaii named Kamehameha.

- Kamehameha I (c. 1758–1819) was the founder and first ruler of the Kingdom of Hawaii, which he unified through conquest. He is considered to be one of the most important figures in Hawaiian history.

- Kamehameha II (1797–1824) was the second king of the Kingdom of Hawaii. He succeeded his father, Kamehameha I, after his death in 1819. He is best known for abolishing the traditional kapu system and introducing Christianity to Hawaii.

- Kamehameha III (1813–1854) was the third king of the Kingdom of Hawaii. He succeeded his brother, Kamehameha II, after his death in 1824. He is best known for establishing a constitutional monarchy in Hawaii and for signing the Paulet-Kaneohe treaty, which recognized Hawaiian independence.

- Kamehameha IV (1834–1863) was the fourth king of the Kingdom of Hawaii. He succeeded his uncle, Kamehameha III, after his death in 1854. He is best known for his efforts to modernize Hawaii and for his support for the Hawaiian constitution of 1852.
