Are There Seas in Sri Lanka?

Sri Lanka does not have any seas within its territory. As an island nation situated in the Indian Ocean, the country is entirely surrounded by ocean waters. The Indian Ocean borders Sri Lanka on all sides, providing its coastline but no inland seas or marginal seas within the island itself.
