Bab el-Mandeb Strait is a narrow waterway separating Yemen on the Arabian Peninsula from Djibouti and Eritrea in the Horn of Africa. It is the southern entrance to the Red Sea and connects the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden and the Indian Ocean.
