Are dogs allowed on charmouth beach?
Dogs are allowed on Charmouth Beach, but there are some restrictions during the summer months. There is a dog ban on the main part of the beach from early July through to the end of August. However, there are designated areas where dogs are permitted, such as:
- The eastern third of the beach (towards Golden Cap), from the end of Beach Road
- The western end of the beach (in front of the Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre)
- The beach between Stonebarrow and Seatown (all year round)
Dogs must be kept on a lead and under control at all times.
