Where is money made in the UK?

The Bank of England is responsible for printing money in the United Kingdom. The bank has two sites where money is printed, at Debden in Essex and at Gateshead in Tyne and Wear. The Debden site is the main printing works and is responsible for producing banknotes, while the Gateshead site produces coins.
