How many Anglicans are there in England?

The Church of England is the established church in England. According to the 2011 United Kingdom census, 59.4% of the English population, or 31,080,000 people, identified themselves as Christian. Of those, 28.7%, or 8,855,000 people, identified themselves as Anglican.
