How to Find Childcare Centres in London, England

To locate registered childcare in London:

1. Ofsted (Official Regulator): reports.ofsted.gov.uk – search by postcode; view inspection reports, ratings, contact details.
2. DayNurseries.co.uk: Comprehensive directory; filter by area, type (nursery, childminder, pre-school), availability.
3. Childcare.co.uk: Platform for nurseries, nannies, babysitters; parent reviews.
4. Local Council: Each London borough's Family Information Service (FIS) lists approved providers.
5. Recommendations: Ask parents in local Facebook groups, NCT branches, or playgrounds.
6. Visit: Attend open days; observe staff-child ratios, cleanliness, curriculum (EYFS), outdoor space.

Apply early—popular nurseries have waiting lists. Check eligibility for funded hours (15/30 hrs for 2–4 year olds).
