How large is Cornwall?

Cornwall is located at the very southwestern tip of Great Britain, and with an area of 3,563 km2 (1,376 sq mi) forms the westernmost tip of the island of Great Britain. Cornwall extends approximately 145 km (90 mi) north to south and reaches a maximum east-to-west breadth of more than 90 km (56 mi) making it comparable in size to some US states (Rhode Island has 3,144 km2 and Delaware measures 5,328 km2).
