Geography Clarified: The United Kingdom Is Not in the Middle East
The United Kingdom and the Middle East are distinct geographic entities separated by approximately 3,000–4,000 km (1,900–2,500 mi) of land and sea.

Middle East

Why the Confusion?
Historical British imperial involvement (mandates, protectorates, Suez Canal), large Middle Eastern diaspora communities in the UK, and ongoing diplomatic/military engagement create political and cultural links—but not geographic ones.
In short: The UK is in Europe; the Middle East is in Western Asia/North Africa. They are different regions.
