What is the main mountain range in England?
England does not have any mountain ranges, but it does have a number of upland areas or hills. The most prominent of these are the Pennines, which run through the north of England and include the highest point in England, Scafell Pike (978 m). Other upland areas include the Cumbrian Mountains in the northwest of England, the North York Moors and Yorkshire Dales in the northeast, the Peak District in the central east, and the Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks in the southwest.
