Why did great Britain and France receive so much aid?

Great Britain and France did not receive more aid than other Allies during World War I and II. In fact, the United States provided the most aid to all of its allies, including Great Britain and France. The United States provided financial assistance, military equipment, and food and supplies to its allies during both world wars.
