Can you get ferrets in the UK?

Yes, it is legal to own ferrets in the UK provided they are not hybrids from a wild species and are correctly marked. All ferrets must also be microchipped and registered with a local authority. Owners must meet strict requirements as to housing, diet and overall welfare of the animals according to the Animal Welfare Act 2006 and the Kept Animals Act 2004.
