How many branches of government are there in Scotland?

Scotland does not have branches of government in the same way as other countries. As part of the United Kingdom, Scotland is governed by the UK Parliament and the Scottish Parliament, which is a devolved parliament. The Scottish Parliament has responsibility for a range of issues including health, education, justice and the environment. The UK Parliament is responsible for matters such as foreign policy, defence and taxation.
