Norman Castles in Great Britain

There are more than 1,000 Norman castles in Great Britain. Over 100 are considered significant national landmarks and are protected as Scheduled Ancient Monuments. Most were built between the 11th and 13th centuries, with some earlier examples from the 10th century. Famous examples include the Tower of London, Dover Castle, and Warwick Castle.
