Where is the Thamesmead located in England?

The Thamesmead is located in the London borough of Bexley, England. It is a large suburban housing estate situated on the south bank of the River Thames, east of Erith and north of Abbey Wood. The estate was built between 1968 and 1982 and is currently undergoing a major regeneration programme.
