Specs

• Size: 10,000 sq ft (900 m²)
• Dimensions: ~150 × 65 ft (46 × 20 m)
• Weight: ~1,000 lbs (450 kg)
• Fabric: Nylon, custom-woven

The Moment

Hung on the Pentagon's west wall (impact side) during President Bush's visit. Visible for miles. Symbolized resilience, unity, defiance.

Record Status

Guinness: "Largest flag draped on a building." Larger free-flying flags exist (e.g., Ski Demski's 505 × 225 ft "Superflag"), but this remains the iconic 9/11 flag.

Now preserved by the 9/11 Memorial & Museum.
