Tarrant County is home to freshwater fishing facilities at some of its larger lakes, including Lake Arlington, Lake Grapevine, Eagle Mountain Lake and Lake Worth. The largest of Tarrant County's lakes at over 8,700 acres, Eagle Mountain Lake features fish species such as largemouth bass, catfish, spotted bass, white bass and crappie. All fishermen in Tarrant County's lakes must have Texas fishing licenses, per Texas state regulations. Also, all fish caught in these lakes must meet the daily bag requirement put forth by Texas' Parks and Wildlife Department. Each of Tarrant County's largest lakes has public and private fishing marinas.
