Wanderlust World Wanderlust World Bainbridge is in Decatur County in Georgia. It was named in honor of Commodore William Bainbridge, the commander of "Old Ironsides" during the War of 1812. Land for a county seat was purchased in 1826, and Bainbridge became a city in 1829.
