Tennessee Parks & Campgrounds

Tennessee is a state rich in history, culture and natural beauty. Its campgrounds and state parks are destinations that both locals and out-of-state travelers enjoy. Whether you're partial to the woods, the mountains or the water, Tennessee state and national parks have plenty of natural spaces to explore. Public campgrounds are available throughout the state as well for those wishing to spend a few days in the great outdoors.

  1. Lakeview RV Park

    • The Tennessee Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds has voted Lakeview RV Park "Tennessee Campground of the Year." It offers a variety of sites for all sizes of vehicle, from small campers to big rigs. Guests can enjoy amenities such as a swimming pool, pavilion, private baths, complimentary coffee, children's playground and a fenced-in pet play area.

    Countryside Resort

    • Conveniently located close to Interstate 40 in Lebanon, Tennessee, the Countryside Resort is set on 35 well-maintained acres that give it a park-like feel. The Countryside Resort has accommodations for both tents and campers, and large spots for RVs with slide-outs. This campground is a short drive to Nashville and all the attractions it has to offer.

    State Parks

    • State parks are located throughout Tennessee and provide visitors a wide variety of recreational activities. Boating, hiking, horseback riding, fishing and golf are some of the endeavors visitors can experience depending on which park they visit. Some state parks include Big Cypress Tree State Park, Burgess Falls and Cumberland Mountain.

    National Parks

    • Much like the state parks, Tennessee national parks offer visitors the chance to explore nature while enjoying activities like rock climbing, river paddling and hiking. In addition to stunning scenery and recreation, Tennessee's national parks display the state's history at places like the Andrew Johnson National Historic Site in Greeneville and the Fort Donelson National Battlefield in Dover. Other national parks include Cumberland Gap National Historical Park, Shiloh National Military Park and the Trail of Tears National Historic Trail.
