Campgrounds in Charleston, Tennessee

The city of Charleston, Tennessee, is located just south of the Hiwassee River, which empties into Chickamauga Lake, located 25 miles to the west. The geographical beauty of the area helps ensure that the area is a home to several campgrounds, including two in the city limits of Charleston. Thirteen campgrounds are located within the county that Charleston belongs to, which is Bradley.
  1. B & B Marina and Campground

    • The B & B Marina and Campground is located on the Hiwassee River six miles to the west of downtown Charleston. The campground portion of the facility has spaces available for rent on a daily, weekly, monthly or annual basis. Two eating establishments are located on the grounds: the Paradise Pointe Bar and Grill and the Paradise Pointe Restaurant.

    Golden Chain Village Campground

    • The Golden Chain Village Campground is open throughout the year and has 14 sites. Electric hookups, flush toilets, showers, a grocery store, water hookup and sewer station are available. The campground has full handicap access. Located nearby are the Azalea, Big Pine, Redleaf, Chilhowee Forest Walk and Arbutus Trails plus Chatata Creek.

    Benton Campgrounds

    • In Benton, accessible 27 minutes to the southwest of Charleston, are Black Bear Cove Resort, Chilhowee Campground, Parksville Campground, Sylco Campground, Thunder Rock and Tumbling Creek. Each of these campgrounds is open throughout the year with the exception of Chilhowee and Parksville Campgrounds, which are open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

    Cleveland, Etowah and Ocoee Campgrounds

    • Located 17 minutes southwest of Charleston within the city of Cleveland are 33 Campground and Chattanooga North KOA/Cleveland. Etowah is 24 minutes east of Charleston and is home to Lost Creek and Quinn Springs Campground. Lost Creek is open from April 1 to October 31, while Quinn Springs Campground runs from April 1 to November 1. Sugarloaf Campground is in Ocoee, located 29 minutes south of Charleston, and is open from May 1 to October 1.
