      About 10 miles outside downtown Knoxville, Volunteer Park Family Campground is a full-service campground close to area attractions. The campground has affordable sites for primitive tent camping and recreational vehicles. There are bathroom and shower facilities, a heated pool, playground and basketball courts and an exercise room for guests. A clubhouse and grocery store are also available.

    Fox Inn Campground

    • Fox Inn Campground is a family-friendly campground with water, electric, sewer and cable television for guests with RVs. Primitive campers are welcome and can enjoy the same amenities. As of 2010, rates for tent sites are $22 and RV nightly rates are $35 and up. The campground also offers wireless Internet, a seasonal swimming pool, game room, exercise room and laundry room.

    Southlake RV Park

    • Southlake RV Park offers guests primitive camping as well as RV sites with water, sewer and electric hookups. A seasonal swimming pool and guest lodge are available to entertain visitors. Guests may fish from the dock, and a playground and library are available for children. The campsites have scenic views of Southlake.
