National Parks With RV Campgrounds

The United States National Park Service offers parks throughout the country, which are home to some of the most diverse and interesting landscapes and habitats found anywhere in the world. Visitors will find RV camping in many of the parks offering the convenience of staying within the park, access to the recreational amenities and scenic views.
  1. Zion National Park

    • Zion National Park is located in southwestern Utah. It features expansive sandstone rock formations, desert canyons and evidence of civilizations over 2,000 years old. Visitors will find three campgrounds within the park that have RV campsites. The rustic sites include a picnic table, fire pit, and grill along with a centralized water source in each campground. Other amenities include modern restrooms and trash containers. Park amenities include two visitor centers, the Zion Human History Museum and Zion Lodge, which contains a gift shop, restaurant and hotel rooms. Park recreational amenities include 14 hiking trails, horseback riding and biking trails along with birdwatching opportunities and daily park activities led by wildlife biologists.

    Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore

    • Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is located on Lake Michigan in the northwest corner of Michigan's Lower Peninsula. It features miles of pristine coastline and natural sand dunes. Visitors will find two campgrounds within the park that offer convenient access to the park amenities and accommodate full size RV's. Platte River Campground has partial hookup sites that include a picnic table, fire pit and access to modern restrooms with private showers. D.H. Day Campground offers rustic sites that include a picnic table, fire pit and restrooms. Both campgrounds have a centralized water source, dump station and are within a half mile from the lakeshore. Park amenities include a visitor center, lookout pier and Coast Guard Museum as well as a scenic automobile loop.

    Glacier National Park

    • Glacier national Park is located in northwest Montana and encompasses over one million acres of pristine wilderness. Visitors will find 13 campgrounds within the park with over 1,000 campsites. Several of the campgrounds have sites that will accommodate RV's. All campgrounds have rustic sites that include a picnic table, fire ring and access to modern restrooms along with a centralized water station. Select campgrounds have a dump station, showers and picnic pavilion. Park amenities include a hotel, 700 miles of hiking trails and boat tours on four different lakes within the park along with boat rentals and guided hikes.
