Cross Creek, five miles from Arcadia, is a gated campground with lighted tennis courts, horseshoe pits and bocce courts. It is near 15 golf courses and offers a billiards room, craft room and library on-site. The RV park has 520 full-service sites, most with concrete patios, driveways for two cars and 30-, 50- and 125-amp electrical service. The park has daily, weekly, monthly and annual rates. Reservations are accepted for monthly or annual sites with $500 deposit as of 2010.

Royal Palms RV Park is an adult campground and park 18 miles from Ocala. The campground has 15 sites, 8 of them pull-through. Maximum length is 45 feet. The sites have full hookups with 20-, 30- and 50-amp service. Amenities include a grocery store, recreation center, laundry and showers. Fishing, hiking, boating and putting greens are nearby. Rates in 2010 are available for daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly stays.

Camping on the Gulf, 10 miles east of Destin, offers beach sites with concrete pads and full hookups, including 20-, 30- and 50-amp service with Wi-Fi and cable TV. The park can accommodate pop-up campers, motor homes, fifth-wheel rigs and RVs. Reservations are accepted up to one year in advance. Amenities include a large outdoor pool that has a dome during the winter months for year-round swimming. Future plans in 2010 include a water slide for all ages. The campground has daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly rates for winter, summer and spring.
