Stuart, Florida is located along the east coast of Martin County and is located on the Okeechobee Waterway's east point.   1. Phipps Park and Campground

    • Phipps Park and Campground is a 55 acre natural preserve located on the Okeechobee Waterway. The waterway provides campers with a renowned view of the Okeechobee waters. Fisherman enjoy salt and fresh water fishing in the accessible St. Lucie Locks. The sandy beaches of Martin County are a car drive away.

    St. Lucie South

    • St. Lucie South is known for its green vegetation and tropical ambiance. The campground accommodates nine RVs and eight Cruiser RV sites with hookups for utilities and water. Three tent sites are also available, but have no hookups. All camp sites are first come, first serve. St. Lucie South offers hot showers, a waste station, public phones, playground, a shelter and a boat ramp. Manatees are regularly seen while boating the St. Lucie Lock along the Okeechobee Waterway. The north side of St. Lucie lock offers a nature trail for enjoying the tropical outdoors by foot.

    Jonathan Dickinson State Park

    • Jonathan Dickinson State Park is located in Hobe Sound just 12 miles south of Stuart. The park is filled with wildlife and natural habitats. Primitive camping or two camping sites with facilities are available. The natural landscape consists of pine trees, rivers and mangroves. Hiking and horse trails run through the park in addition to off-road and paved biking paths. Water activities include kayaking, canoeing and boating on the freshwater Loxahatchee River that flows through the park where fishing is enjoyed from the banks. Year-round guided boat tours transport visitors to the 1930's pioneer home of Trapper Nelson.
