Madison is located in central North Florida. The city features centuries-old landmarks, homes and antiques shops as well as many opportunities for outdoor recreation and leisure activities.   1. Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort

    • Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park campground is located in southern Madison. The campground offers 104 sites suitable for RVs, trailers or tents. Each campsite features a shaded grassy lawn, 30- and 50-amp electric hookups, wireless Internet access, a picnic table, fire pit and grill. The park also has a limited number of lakeside RV campsites and cabins. Cabins feature sleeping arrangements for up to 12 people and include such amenities as air conditioning, a private bathroom and kitchenette. Amenities include bathroom and shower houses, guest laundry facility, a dump station, general store and gift shop, an outdoor swimming pool, lakeside swimming area with a 60-foot water slide, a miniature golf course, sand volleyball courts, basketball hoop and skate park, playground, game room and a pine tree forest with nature trails. The campground also rents canoes and paddle boats. The park is open all year and is accommodating of pets. Several restaurants are located near the campground, north of I-10.

    Deerwood Inn Campground

    • The campground at Deerwood Inn Resort is located in southern Madison. The campground offers 75 pull-through sites suitable for RVs, trailers and tents. Each campsite features a grassy lawn with plenty of shade, 30- and 50-amp electric hookups, a picnic table and fire ring. The resort also has a small motel that offers traditional rooms with a microwave and refrigerator. Guests are encouraged to take advantage of numerous services and amenities such as bathroom and shower houses, guest laundry facility, sewage disposal station, outdoor swimming pool, a large covered pavilion with barbecue grills, shuffleboard courts, playground, picnic area, horseshoe pits, basketball court, fishing pond and hiking trails. The park is open year-round and is accommodating of pets. Many restaurants are located within a five-mile radius of the campground.

    Suwannee River State Park

    • The campground at Suwannee River State Park is located about 25 minutes east of Madison in Live Oak. The campground is nestled along the Suwannee River Wilderness Trail and offers 30 campsites suitable for RVs no larger than 45 feet, trailers and tents. Each campsite features a shaded lawn, 50-amp electric service, access to water, sewage disposal, a clothesline, picnic table and fire pit with grill. The park also has five cabins that accommodate up to six people and feature a gas fireplace, screened-in porch and kitchenette. The park offers guests several services and amenities, including bathroom and shower houses, a general store, two picnic pavilions with barbecue grills, riverside swings and lounge areas, a playground, boat ramp, and miles of nature and hiking trails. The park is open all year and is accommodating of pets. Only a handful of restaurants are located within a five-mile radius of the park.
