The Harper’s Ferry/Civil War Battlefield KOA is in historic Harpers Ferry, close to Harpers Ferry National Historical Park, the Appalachian Trail, the Shenandoah River and Mount Mission Park. The campground is home to a Civil War museum, where you can watch Civil War enactments. The campground also features an outdoor swimming pool, wading pool, theater, miniature golf course, playground for animals, trampoline-like jumping pillow, basketball and volleyball courts, snack bar, horseshoe pit, bicycle and golf-cart rental service, game room, convenience store with supplies and pavilion area with picnic tables. Guests can host events, such as meetings or weddings, at the facility’s convention center. The campground hosts activities such as theme parties, murder mystery dinners, charity auctions and musical festivals. The facility has 311 sites for RV and tent camping, many of which have electrical, sewer and water connections. The RV campsites also have cable TV and wireless Internet access. For smaller and larger groups, the campground rents out cabins, lodges and a bunkhouse.

Moncove Lake State Park is in Gap Mills, a rural town in West Virginia's southeast. The park is near the Hanging Rock Hawk Tower, Lost World Caverns, Lewisburg, and Greenbrier State Forest. Moncove Lake, offering opportunities for fishing and boating, is in the park, which is an ideal place for bird-watching and hiking. Hunting is allowed on the 500-acre wildlife-management area within the park. The campground features an outdoor swimming pool, rowboat and paddle boat rental service, snack bar, boat launch area, fishing dock, and pavilion area with picnic tables and grills. The park sells ice and firewood to campground guests. The campground has 48 sites for RV and tent camping, some of which have electrical connections. All of the sites feature picnic tables and fire pits.

Revelle’s River Resort is located in the Monongahela National Forest at Bowden. The campground is located close to the Cranberry Glades Botanical Area, Seneca Caverns, American Mountain Theater and Blackwater Falls State Park. The facility sits on the Shavers Fork of the Cheat River, where guests can go fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking and boating. The campground has 121 sites for RV and tent camping. Some of the campsites have water, electrical and sewer connections, and others have only water and electrical hookups. Campsites have cable TV and wireless Internet access. The campground rents cabins and cottages, which can sleep from four to six people. Some cabins and cottages are situated on or near the river. Cottages have fireplaces and porches. Amenities at the resort include an inner-tube rental service, game room, playgrounds, clubhouse, horseshoe pit, stables and outdoor hot tub. The campground has a riverfront restaurant with live musical acts, a rentable pavilion area for group outings and a convenience store with supplies. The facility hosts planned activities such as crafts sessions, fishing contests, water activities, ice cream socials and holiday parties.
