    • Harpers Ferry-Civil War Battlefield KOA offers campers 83 tenting spots, one- and two-bedroom cabins, six-person lodges, a 20-person bunkhouse and 160 recreational vehicle sites. Ninety-one of the RV spaces are pull-throughs measuring 20 feet by 55 feet, and the remaining back-ins measure 20 feet by 30 feet. Among the sites, 134 have full hookups, and the others have electric and water. Wireless Internet is accessible at every site. Restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, a waste dump and public phones are available on the property. A store at the campground sells groceries, firewood, propane and RV supplies and also houses an ATM. Campers can swim in the campground's Olympic-sized swimming pool or enjoy 18 holes of miniature golf on-site. Other recreational activities include a jumping pillow, giant chess, a pet playground, a game room with pool tables, a playground, sandbox, basketball courts, bicycle and golf-cart rentals and a 100-seat movie theater. The campground also has a Civil War Re-enactors Museum. A snack bar is located on the premises and the campground serves a pancake breakfast every weekend.

    Maple Tree Campground

    • Maple Tree Campground is located in Rohersville, Maryland, 11 miles from Harpers Ferry (approximately 20 miles by car). In addition to tree cottages and tree houses, Maple Tree Campground offers 12 tenting sites which can accommodate one to four tents. Each spot has a picnic table, fire circle and grill. For guests' convenience, the campground offers restrooms, private outdoor showers and a Dumpster for trash. The Camp Shop sells firewood, ice, charcoal, coffee, soda, ice cream, snacks, frozen meats, marshmallows, condiments and other basic groceries. Campers can hike from the property onto the Appalachian Trail. The campground has a two-night minimum stay for all sites. Pets are welcome. Recreational vehicles are not permitted.

    Brunswick Family Campground

    • With 300 tent sites and 65 spots for recreational vehicles, Brunswick Family Campground is situated in Brunswick, Maryland, approximately eight miles from Harpers Ferry (six minutes by car). The campground is a public park maintained by the city. All of the RV sites offer electric and water hookups. Although there are no sewage connections, a waste dump is available at the park. The park offers bathhouses with toilets and showers, picnic tables and campfire rings at every tenting and RV site. The Potomac River flows by the campground, allowing for fishing and boating. A playground, bicycling path and horseshoe pit provide additional recreational activities.
