Approximately 19 miles south of Hattiesburg, the Cypress Hill RV Park provides a swimming pool, propane station, bathhouse, laundry facilities and free wireless Internet. Full hookups feature 30- or 50-amp service. Pets are welcome but must stay on a leash and be cleaned up after. The park offers a saltwater swimming pool and a fully stocked fishing pond. It is one of the few RV parks located in the DeSoto National Forest, which contains ATV trails, bike trails and hiking trails along with numerous waterways for canoeing. Canoe and kayak rentals are available at the Black Creek Canoe Livery approximately four miles from the park.

Those staying at the Okatoma Resort & RV Park, approximately 15 miles north of Hattiesburg, will find 78 RV sites. Okatoma is a full resort offering a clubhouse that contains a library, a full kitchen and a dining area. The park also provides a complimentary laundry facility, a pool, cabins and propane. Unique to the park is Okatoma Creek, which provides the only white-water canoeing in Mississippi. Hiking and biking can be found at Longleaf Trace Recreational Trail approximately 15 miles from the park.
