RV and primitive campsites are available at Blue Springs Park, which is located 15 minutes from downtown Gainesville in neighboring High Springs. Canoe, kayak and inner tube rentals are available to guests of the facility for use in the springs that are located on park grounds. RV sites are available with 30- and 50- amp electricity outlets. A sewage dump station is on the grounds of the establishment for guest convenience.

In continuous operation since 1961, Gainesville's Kate's Fish Camp is home to RV and primitive campsites. The park is located directly on the Gainesville/Hawthorne nature and hiking trail as well as Newton Lake. Boat and motor rentals are avaliable to guests, in addition to canoe and kayak rentals. The facility is large enough to cater to outdoor events for large groups and has an expansive picnic and barbecue grilling area.

Full hookup RV sites are available at the Twin Lakes Fish Camp in Hawthorne. Located just minutes from Gainesville, the campground also has several primitive sites available. The park is situated on Cross Creek, which connects Lake Lochloosa to Orange Lake. A dump station and fish cleaning station are available for guest use, as is a recreation hall complete with screened in porch and satellite television. The park also features a bath house and laundry facilities.
