Primitive Campgrounds in Georgia

When it comes to finding primitive campgrounds in Georgia, the place to start is in the state's extensive array of state parks. Georgia has 41 state parks with more than 2,700 campsites. Many of these campsites are either back-country or walk-in tent sites. The back-country sites require campers to bring all of their own supplies, including water. The walk-in tent sites come with a tent pad, picnic table, and fire ring but usually don't have water or electricity.
